
Steele McCulley

Steele McCulley Grew up in rural Iowa, where he was inspired to serve by his two older brothers in the SEAL Teams. In 2013, Steele joined the Navy 2013 and went to Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training. He served for 8 years before separating to pursue becoming a physician.Â
While active duty, Steele served as a Navy SEAL with SEAL Team Two, where he was his platoon's Special Operations Combat Medic and NSW Sniper for two deployments, including one to Somalia.Â
Steele is now a first year medical student at the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa, seeking his M.D. He graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. Upon completing medical school, he hopes to be accepted into orthopedic surgery at the University of Iowa.Â
Steele McCulley continues to work part-time as a research assistant for the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Iowa. In his free time, Steele enjoys bow hunting, riding horses, and spending time with family.
