Isabella McKinney
Director of Research
Bella McKinney is a Massachusetts native, and while she works at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University, she does not park her car in Harvard Yard. After spending 4 years in the cold Boston winter at Tufts University, she graduated in 2022 with a degree in Biology. Following her passion for supporting servicemembers and military research, she manages a study on brain health and blast exposure for the U.S. SOF. Additionally, she is a medical school applicant and hopes to join the rest of the SOF to SOM team in medical school in the fall of 2025. In her free time, when not studying for the MCAT, she enjoys running, reading, and discovering the best restaurants in the city (just don’t ask about seafood).Â
Most importantly, she serves as the SOF to SOM research director. Her main goal is to advocate for scholars through data analysis and publication and demonstrate to medical schools the value that SOF veterans bring to healthcare.
