Andrew Kocsis

Assistant Program Director

Andrew Kocsis is an active-duty Green Beret working at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) as an Operations Manager for USSOCOM Warrior Care Program-Care Coalition (WCP-CC). Before his role assisting wounded, ill, and injured Special Operations Forces at WRNMMC, he was assigned to the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) in both Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Torri Station, Okinawa, Japan. He served as a medical, intelligence, and operations sergeant there. Andy has deployed several times to support the efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan and multiple times to countries throughout Asia.

Andy is working on his pre-requisites to attend medical school, with aspirations of becoming a psychiatrist. He spends time at WRNMMC learning and advocating for programs regarding brain and mental health.

He is married and has two boys. He enjoys his current assignment because it allows him to spend more time with his family. They enjoy outdoor activities, soccer, and Friday movie nights.
